Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport

I arrived late just to spend the night before my morning flight. The reception staff were friendly. I even made it to the sauna, which is why I chose this hotel, and the price was more affordable than others. The breakfasts at this hotel in Norway are fantastic. There are several types of butter alone, herring is my favorite for breakfast in Norway, and of course, I tried the traditional brown cheese for the first time; I regret not buying some for myself. Access to drinks in the lobby is super nice; you can sip hot tea and relax after the journey. The bed is super comfortable, the blanket is soft, I really didn't want to sleep in.

Arrived on a late flight and we were flying on early the next day, so we just needed a place to lay our heads really. This went beyond expectations. The room was nice, comfy, clean, spacious, with a great bedroom and bathroom with a lovely shower. Staff were really nice and friendly. But the best thing was the breakfast which starts really early so even if your flight is first thing you can indulge. And it was so delicious. So much choice! Amazing pastries, hot options, cold meats, fruits, option to have pancakes or omelettes cooked to order and (of course) cured fish.

Dinner was lovely as was the bar. Some games were available in the bar which we utilised.

I love everything about this spot, close to the airport. The shuttle is about 7 minutes, it costs 80 NOK each trip, they accept cash or cards (cards preferred as the driver has limited cash), the bus times are posted on a screen near the door. The reception was lovely and very helpful, I only speak English, so that was a treat for me.the restaurant has good food, not crazily priced and good portion sizes. The bed is the best part, it's so beyond comfortable. The washrooms are a great size, rooms are spacious, water gets super hot and has great pressure. There are tablets at the desk to make check in and check out super easy.

It's a great place to stay if you want to specifically be near the airport. The hotel is very close to the airport and has a paid shuttle service also. The breakfast was lavish by European standards with both hot and cold options and even a live counter for eggs. The lobby has a tea, coffee and hot chocolate counter which is free for the guests. They even gave us breakfast packs for our early morning flight! Would definitely stay again if I had to.
